The Israeli prime minister tried in his visit to Washington this month to capitalise on the victory of the Republican Party and pro-Israeli candidates in the last mid-term congressional elections, wrote Sobhi Ghandour, the executive director of the Washington-based Al Hewar Centre for Arab Culture and Dialogue, in a column for the Emirati newspaper Al Bayan.
